I'll admit it; I'm not a big coffee fan. I drink it maybe once every couple of weeks. Nothing against it. I just prefer tea. But I've been driving past this specific coffee shop every day for work and apparently that can spark some curiosity. I also want to mention (Why? I don't know) that this is the first review where I went on my own. Anyway, this Saturday morning, I ventured to a little coffee shop located on the very end of a strip of businesses, next to a church. I walked in and it was decently crowded. It was a cute place, with plants everywhere and a little sign that said, "Do Today Well". I like that they wrote something like that and not something cliche or overused. After figuring out who was waiting to order and who was waiting for their name to be called, I began looking at the menu. It contained your standard coffee shop options, latte, cappuccino, macchiato. It said they offered milk alternatives, but I didn't see the options listed. Probably to save space. After making a decision, I still had some time before it was my turn to order, so I browsed the food case. I admire their selection of gluten-free baked goods, including cinnamon rolls, brownies, and cookies. This shop also happens to serve gelato. It wasn't until I got to the register that I saw a small sign with all their flavoring options. In addition to the classic flavors like vanilla and caramel, they also had lavender, marshmallow, and even strawberry. I first asked about the milk alternatives (Oat and Almond) and went with an almond milk latte with peanut butter flavoring. I've never tried peanut butter coffee syrup, so I was curious what it would taste like. Despite the crowd, it came out decently quick and I took a seat outside. The coffee had a good balance of sweet, and bitter and the syrup had a nice flavor. They also offered compostable spoons instead of plastic ones. I can definitely say that this is a coffee shop I'll be visiting again.
