New Asian

It sometimes seems like there’s a Chinese restaurant on every block, so it was only a matter of time before I wrote about one. Honestly, I’m surprised it took me this long. But I just happened to be in the Loveland area with my brother and heard about a little place called New Asian, so here we are. Another restaurant located in a strip of stores, this one between a library (BTW has anyone else ever seen a library in a strip?) and a Dollar Tree. I’ll be honest, I didn’t know what to expect walking in, but I was still taken aback. It honestly looked more like a small waiting room than a restaurant. If not for the ordering window with a visible kitchen, I would’ve thought I’d walked into the wrong building. Just two tables. I guess it’s more of a takeout place than a sit-down restaurant, but we decided to stay. It was a little strange, completely quiet except for sounds from the kitchen and I remember thinking, “This is either going to be delicious or terrible.” Then my order, Hunan shrimp with fried rice, came out and I’m happy to report that it was the first option. The sauce was the perfect mix of sweet and spicy, and the vegetables were cooked without being too soft. The rice was cooked well, and I liked how it wasn’t too greasy. And to top it off, we were in and out in under 30 minutes.
